WHAT OUR FANS ARE SAYING:

"Rose and Lurlene are perfect representatives of older Maine women from my grandmothers days....dry,witty and to the point in a round about way that only another Mainer would get...toooooooo funny!" -  Robin

"They make me really laugh out loud! Who knew Lurlene could sing? I wonder if she takes requests. Witchy Talk Lineman would be a good one.....yup yup yup." - Margie

"I'm stuck in Connecticut and missin' Maine... so thanks for making me laugh. You girls are superb!" - Kye

"I stumbled across "Rose and Trout" a few months ago when I was looking at a "Bert and I" site on Face Book. As someone who can trace his Mainer descendants to the 18th century but has lived "away" most of his life I was thrilled to find these two witty and charming ladies. Their creative down to Earth Yankee humor never fails to bring a wide grin to my face.

"Their conversations and insights are reminiscent of my boyhood spent in Hancock County listening to my Down East relatives and friends discuss the events of the day over after dinner coffee. I would sit quietly and listen to my elders pontificate and share their opinions about life in our little Maine village. All the while I would try to sit and listen straight faced and not smile or laugh. I'm 40 years older now and can relax and enjoy Rose and Lurlene without fear of being sent away from the supper table." - Paul

"I’m a big fan of the Rose and Trout podcasts and I recommend it highly. If you’re a fan of Maine humor in the tradition of the great Joe Pernam, you better give it a listen…NOW!"   - Mark Ricketts, Moose Mountain

(Folks, Rose and Trout are both big fans of Moose Mountain, too. Mark is some clever and his comic strip is dandy. Go on right over to that blue link there and start at the beginning when the little city critter goes into the Wilderness Protection Program and read right through em all.  We like the moose, and that damn bear and especially Ranger Todd, who is as cheerful as a Boy Scout even when he's up to his arse on the horns of a dementia. You'll laugh til you pee... .  We've been hoping to get Ranger Todd to guest star on a podcast or at least give a wild life lecture at the Sons of Seamen Ladies Auxillary Wednesday Afternoon Punch and Pedagogy)

What's new in Cockamagoggin Harbor?

Things have been rather quiet through the recent "woods queer" months, followed by the hopeful "mud season" and now we're all wicked cheerful because spring is allegedly here.  I've seen daffodils and snow.  Both in the same day.

Pretty quick we will be dreading the "summer complaint" and that means we'll be slapping the paint on some big assed women and ordering glazing balls and t-shirts and other bait for the tourist traps.  We'll be starting up podcastering our regular pods out atcha again once Little Jimmy shows us how to skype.

NEW LISTENERS: We added a greatest hits section at your request.

If you are one of the over 650 iTunes subscribers, we love ya!  Please rate us so we'll show up on their lists of who is wicked funny in their podcastering radar.
